The Shops at St. Pete, located at the heart of downtown St. Petersburg is the epicenter of the active and energetic waterfront district. Unlike any other mall or lifestyle center, The Shops at St. Pete is locally owned and operated by The Bill Edwards Group- a St. Petersburg based Finance, Hospitality, Entertainment, and Real Estate Group. The Shops is a destination for high end retail shopping, al fresco dining, and atmospheric social gatherings. Surrounded by vibrant art centers and scenic waterfront parks, our privately owned shopping district suits our community offering only the best of experiences to our residents and visitors.

The Plaza Level (First Level)

Now opened to 2nd Avenue activity and energy, The Plaza Level (lower level) of The Shops at St. Pete welcomes foot traffic and is positioned as a destination-arrival point drawing the masses to the center. It reflects a branded memorable environment and a human activity center in the heart of the downtown waterfront district.

The Plaza provides a sense of wonder, excitement, surprise and expectation, both day and night. Focals as foreground and background encourage circulation and provide destinations and points of interest throughout. The Plaza always has activity that captivates the senses and makes shoppers want to linger. Shade for comfort, sound for interest and plants for color and contrast create an atmosphere in The Plaza.

Natural elements including water, plants and koi ponds add points of interest and enrich the pedestrian experience. Designated social gathering areas, branded coffee shops and an open air bar with decorative covers provide top-of-mind meeting places for social rendezvous day and night.

During the evening, The Plaza provides a dreamlike atmosphere, allowing retailers to brightly connect with pedestrian traffic via theatrically lit merchandised window presentations, which encourage exploration. Dramatic lighting of the architecture surrounding The Plaza, including tiny sparkling lights against the sky, Jumbotron videos, and internally lit water features and ponds foster an atmosphere of wonder and connectivity that enliven The Plaza at all hours of operation.

For special events, The Plaza is transformed into large gathering spaces by means of temporary sets for fashion shows, wine tastings, food shows, celebrity events and similar celebrations and functions.

A rain-sun protected Paseo, which can be accessed by both 1st Street and 2nd Street, adds to the pedestrian experience and is positioned as a street of shops, mirroring a European shopping destination in scale, signage, lighting and use. Visually connected to Beach Drive, the 1st Street entrance provides a visual signal to passersby, offering yet another means of accessing The Shops at St. Pete while encouraging circulation throughout the center. The 2nd Street entrance provides a covered cul-de-sac for vehicular valet drop-off.

THE TERRACE LEVEL (2nd Level)

Positioned as the lifestyle epicenter of the downtown waterfront district, The Terrace Level (upper level) of The Shops at St. Pete offers shoppers a social gathering center and lifestyle entertainment. Easily accessible via elevator, open air escalators or grand stairways, this level sports large overhangs and tropical fan-covered terraces, each appointed with comfortable lounge seating groupings.

The Terrace Level features al fresco dining at signature restaurants. Concierge services are offered, including information on events throughout the downtown district. Additional patron conveniences include top-of-the-line resort-style facilities, free WIFI, ATMs, art sculptures and landscaped-living walls.

Retailers catering to high-end service and personal care provide artfully merchandised storefronts and products.
